T'is me.I am a UK based web developer working in the Higher Education sector with the central Web Team at LJMU.

We help to maintain and develop the corporate, departmental and faculty web provision.

My background is in the arts, having studied graphic design I worked in commercial web design producing educational and interactive promotional CD-Roms and websites for Nissan Skyline, Scottish Power and 3Com amongst others, and worked on some of the early pan-european online shopping portals.

Over a number of years I began to develop programming skills in Perl CGI, then PHP and Java and interactive design software such as Flash and Director.

In my present role we have a diverse remit from looking after and developing our main websites and services, using ASP and .Net technologies, and providing RedDot CMS development, training and support for our many web authors. Right now we’re getting into Microsoft Sharepoint for staff collaboration.

At the end of 2008 I completed my MSc in Web Computing, with a research project in the fields of Computer Forensics artefact evaluation.
